NUCLEAR ASSAULT Hard At Work On First Studio Album In 10 Years
August 29, 2003Reunited thrash metal band NUCLEAR ASSAULT are currently recording their first new studio album in 10 years at the studios of Timothy Koukos, head of Screaming Ferret Wreckords, in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Vocalist/guitarist John Connelly, guitarist Erik Burke, bassist Danny Lilker and drummer Glenn Evans are putting the finishing touches on their latest songs. Some are brand new while others were written by Connelly after the band first broke up in the early 1990s.
Connelly, Lilker, Evans and guitarist Anthony Bramante resurrected NUCLEAR ASSAULT in 2002 at the urging of mutual friends. Their first show was at the famous Metal Meltdown in New Jersey in April 2002. NUCLEAR ASSAULT then went on to play select shows in the United States, Europe and South America, including CBGBs in New York City and the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany. During this time Bramante left and was replaced by Burke.
NUCLEAR ASSAULT's as-yet-untitled new CD will be released in early 2004 through Screaming Ferret.
